How to automate lead profiling
Automating lead profiling in Monday CRM requires creating Automation Recipes that change a classification column (hot, warm, cold) based on the number of interactions recorded in the board. You need an interaction count column and multiple automation recipes. The full process takes 35 to 45 minutes. In Teeo, you describe the logic and it's active instantly.
How to do it in Teeo
“Automate lead profiling: classify as hot those with 3 or more interactions, warm with 1-2, cold with no interactions”
The automation is active and will classify leads automatically in real time.
How to automate lead profiling in Monday CRM: step by step
Requirements
- ·To automate profiling in Monday CRM you need: a number column (interaction count) and a Status column for classification.
- ·Classification automations require Standard plan or higher from Monday.com.
- ·Monday CRM does not have a native scoring system; classification is based on numerical values from manually configured columns.
Log in and open your leads board
Go to monday.com, log in, and navigate to the leads board where you want to configure automatic profiling.
Add an interaction count column
Click '+' at the end of the board columns. Select the 'Number' type. Name it 'Interactions'. This column will record how many interactions each lead has had.
Add a lead classification column
Add another column of type 'Status'. Name it 'Lead Profile'. Edit the labels to create three options: 'Hot' (green), 'Warm' (yellow), and 'Cold' (blue).
Access board Automations
Click the 'Automations' button in the board toolbar to open the automations center.
Create the recipe for hot leads (3+ interactions)
Click '+ Add automation'. Select the recipe: 'When a number value changes to something, change Status column to something'. Configure: 'When Interactions is greater than or equal to 3, change Lead Profile to Hot'.
Save the hot leads recipe
Click 'Create automation'. Verify the recipe appears active.
Create the recipe for warm leads (1 interaction)
Add another automation: 'When Interactions equals 1, change Lead Profile to Warm'. Save the recipe.
Create the second recipe for warm leads (2 interactions)
Since Monday doesn't allow range conditions directly, create another recipe: 'When Interactions equals 2, change Lead Profile to Warm'. Save the recipe.
Create the recipe for cold leads (0 interactions)
Add the fourth automation: 'When an item is created, change Lead Profile to Cold'. This automatically classifies all new leads as cold.
Save the cold leads recipe
Click 'Create automation'. You now have 4 active recipes managing automatic classification.
Test the automatic profiling
Create a test lead. Verify it appears as 'Cold'. Edit the interactions number to 1 and verify it changes to 'Warm'. Edit to 3 and verify it changes to 'Hot'.
