How to edit my chatbot responses
Editing chatbot responses in HubSpot requires opening the corresponding Chatflow in the visual builder, locating the specific node with the response to change, editing it, and saving changes. The process takes 10 to 15 minutes depending on how many responses you need to update. In Teeo, you tell the assistant which response to change and it updates across all channels immediately.

Access Conversations in HubSpot
Log in to app.hubspot.com. In the top navigation bar, click 'Conversations'. This opens the module where all communication channels are managed.
Navigate to Chatflows
In the left sidebar, click 'Chatflows'. You'll see the list of all chatflows created in your account, both active and inactive.
Open the chatflow you want to edit
Click the name of the chatflow whose responses you want to modify. The visual flow builder will open with all the chatbot nodes.
Pause the chatflow before editing
To prevent users from seeing the chatbot in an editing state, consider temporarily pausing it by clicking the status toggle in the upper right. This will deactivate the widget while you make changes.
Locate the node with the response to edit
In the visual builder, navigate through the conversation tree until you find the node containing the pricing response (or whichever topic you want to edit). Message nodes have a speech bubble icon.
Click on the node to edit it
Click on the message node that contains the response to modify. An editing panel will open on the right (or a popup) where you'll see the current message text.
Write the new response
Delete the previous text and write the new response. Make sure it is clear, accurate, and in the appropriate tone for your brand. You can use emojis and basic formatting based on the options available in the node editor.
Save and reactivate the chatflow
Click 'Save' or close the node editing panel (changes are usually saved automatically). If you paused the chatflow, reactivate it by clicking the status toggle. Changes will apply immediately for all new users who open the chat.
Frequently asked questions
Do changes to the HubSpot chatbot apply immediately?
Yes. Once you save changes in the Chatflow, the new responses apply immediately for all new users who open the chat. Already-started conversations will continue their original flow until the session ends.
Can I test the edited chatbot before publishing it in HubSpot?
Yes. In the Chatflows builder there is a 'Preview' option that lets you simulate the conversation from the visitor's perspective. Use this feature to verify responses flow correctly before reactivating the chatflow.
Does HubSpot save the change history for chatbot responses?
No. HubSpot Chatflows does not have a version control system for chatbot response change history. If you edit a response and are not satisfied, you cannot automatically recover the previous version. It is recommended to document important changes externally before modifying them.
