Frequently asked questions

What happens to SEO when I delete a knowledge base article in HubSpot?

When you delete an article, its URL returns a 404 error. If the article had Google rankings, you'll lose that traffic. The recommended solution is to set up a 301 redirect in HubSpot (Settings > Website > Redirects) from the deleted article's URL to another relevant article.

Yes. Instead of deleting it, you can change it to draft status by clicking 'Unpublish' or 'Convert to draft'. This will remove it from public view but keep it saved in your knowledge base to restore when needed.
