How to create a nurturing sequence
Close CRM offers the Sequences feature to create email nurturing sequences. Available on the Startup plan and above, it allows you to automate messages at defined intervals. The setup process takes about 30 minutes. In Teeo, you describe the sequence to the assistant and it is configured and active immediately.

How to create a nurturing sequence in Close: step by step
Requirements
- ·Sequences in Close are available starting from the Startup plan ($99/user/month).
- ·Close Sequences are primarily email-based; they do not include SMS or automatic calls in the same flow.
- ·You need a connected email account in Close before creating sequences.
Log in to Close CRM
Go to app.close.com and enter your credentials. Make sure you have the Startup plan or above to access Sequences.
Access the Sequences module
In the left navigation bar, click 'Sequences'. If you don't see this option, your plan may not include it or you may need to activate it from settings.
Create a new sequence
Click the '+ New Sequence' button in the upper right corner. The sequence editor will open.
Name the sequence
Enter a descriptive name for the sequence, such as 'Nurturing Leads No Response 7 Days'. This name is for internal team use only.
Add the first step: message at 7 days
Click '+ Add Step'. Select 'Email' as the step type. Set the delay to 7 days. Write the subject and body of the value email (key benefit of the product/service).
Add the second step: success story at 14 days
Click '+ Add Step' again. Select 'Email'. Set the delay to 7 additional days (14 days from the start). Write the subject and body with a customer success story.
Add the third step: offer at 21 days
Click '+ Add Step' a third time. Select 'Email'. Set the delay to 7 additional days (21 days from the start). Write the offer email with a clear value proposition.
Configure automatic pause conditions
In the sequence settings, enable 'Pause on reply' so the sequence stops automatically if the lead replies. You can also configure 'Pause on open' to pause if the email is opened.
Save the sequence
Click 'Save Sequence' to save the configuration. The sequence will remain in draft status until you activate it.
Activate the sequence and add leads
Activate the sequence using the status toggle. Then go to the leads you want to include, select them, and use the 'Add to Sequence' option to enroll them. The sequence will start according to the configured delays.
Frequently asked questions
Are Close Sequences available on the free plan?
No. Close CRM Sequences are available starting from the Startup plan, which costs $99 USD per user per month. The Close Free plan does not include this feature.
Do Close sequences only work with email?
Primarily yes. Close Sequences are designed for email. While Close has calling and SMS capabilities, these are not included within the automated Sequences flow in the same way as emails.
