Close vs Teeo

How to create a calendar

Close CRM does not have a native scheduling page. To create a sales calendar with a public link for clients to schedule meetings, you need to integrate an external tool like Calendly or Google Calendar alongside Close. The process takes about 30 minutes. In Teeo, you describe the calendar to the assistant and it is configured with the scheduling link instantly.

How to create a calendar in Close: step by step

Requirements

  • ·Close CRM has no native scheduling page. Calendly or Google Calendar is used as an external tool.
  • ·Close does have Google Calendar sync to view calendar events within the CRM.
  • ·This tutorial uses Calendly for the public scheduling page, and Google Calendar for Close sync.
  1. Create a Calendly account

Go to calendly.com and create an account. The free plan allows one active event type. For multiple meeting types, you need the Standard plan ($10/month).

  2. Connect your Google Calendar to Calendly

In Calendly, go to Account Settings > Calendar Connections. Click 'Connect' next to Google Calendar and authorize access. Calendly will check your availability against your Google Calendar events.

  3. Create a new event type

In the Calendly dashboard, click '+ New Event Type'. Select 'One-on-One' for individual meetings.

  4. Configure the name and duration

Enter the name: 'Sales Meeting'. Set the duration to 45 minutes.

  5. Define available hours

In the 'When can people book this event?' section, configure: available days (Monday to Friday), start time (9:00 AM), and end time (6:00 PM). Make sure the time zone is correct.

  6. Configure minimum advance notice

Define how far in advance a meeting can be scheduled. A minimum of 1 hour is recommended so you can prepare.

  7. Add qualification questions (optional)

In the 'Invitee Questions' section, add fields like 'Company', 'Number of employees', or 'What is your biggest sales challenge?' to qualify leads before the meeting.

  8. Save the event type

Click 'Save & Close' or 'Publish'. Calendly will generate a unique link for this meeting type.

  9. Copy the scheduling link

Copy the generated Calendly link (something like calendly.com/your-name/sales-meeting). This is the link you will share with prospects.

  10. Connect Google Calendar with Close CRM

In Close, go to Settings > Integrations > Google Calendar. Authorize the connection. This allows events scheduled in Calendly (which are saved in Google Calendar) to appear in Close.

  11. Add the Calendly link to your email signature in Close

In Close, go to Settings > Email Signature. Add the Calendly link as a call-to-action in your signature: 'Schedule a meeting: [link]'. Save the changes.

Frequently asked questions

Does Close CRM have a native meeting scheduling feature?

Not in the sense of a public scheduling page. Close has Google Calendar sync to view and create events, and 'Meeting' type Tasks to log appointments. However, it does not generate a public scheduling link. For that you need to integrate Calendly or another scheduling tool.

How do Calendly-scheduled meetings sync with Close CRM?

The sync happens indirectly: Calendly creates the event in Google Calendar, and Google Calendar is connected to Close. This way, Calendly meetings appear in Close as activities. To automatically create leads in Close from Calendly, you need an additional integration via Zapier.

What is the simplest way to create a sales calendar with a scheduling link?

The simplest way is with Teeo CRM. You write: 'Create a sales calendar available Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm with 45-minute meetings' and your calendar is configured with the meeting scheduling link, without setting up external tools.
