Bitrix24 vs Teeo

How to create a nurturing sequence

Creating a nurturing sequence in Bitrix24 involves configuring Business Processes within CRM Automation, defining inactivity triggers, adding actions with time delays, and drafting messages for each stage. The process takes 40 to 50 minutes. In Teeo, you describe the sequence in one message and it's set up automatically.

How to create a nurturing sequence in Bitrix24: step by step

Requirements

  • ·Nurturing sequences in Bitrix24 are configured through CRM Automation > Business Processes. It's the most powerful but also the most complex module on the platform.
  • ·To send automated emails in the sequence, you need to have Bitrix24's Marketing module configured or an active email integration. Free plans have limits on send volume.
  • ·Simpler alternative: you can use CRM > Automation > Robots for simple sequences with fewer steps, though it offers less flexibility than Business Processes.
  1. Log in and access CRM

Go to your Bitrix24 domain and log in. In the left sidebar, click 'CRM' to access the customer management module.

  2. Navigate to CRM > Automation

Within CRM, find the 'Automation' option in the top or side menu. Click to see the available automation options.

  3. Select Business Processes

In the Automation menu, click 'Business Processes'. This is the module that allows creating complex workflows with conditions, delays, and multiple actions. You'll see the list of existing business processes.

  4. Create a new Business Process

Click '+ Add' to create a new business process. This opens Bitrix24's visual workflow designer.

  5. Define the name and entity type

Assign a descriptive name to the process, for example: 'Nurturing — Inactive Leads 7 Days'. Select 'Lead' as the CRM entity type this process will apply to. Click 'Next'.

  6. Configure the start trigger

In the workflow designer, add the start trigger. Select the 'Inactivity' condition or create a condition based on the 'Last Activity Date' field. Define that the process should start when a lead has had no activity for 7 days.

  7. Add the first message (day 7)

After the trigger, add a 'Send Email' or 'Send Message' action. Select an email template or draft the value message directly in the editor. Set the recipient as the lead's email ({Lead.Email}).

  8. Add a 7-day delay

After the first message, add a 'Delay' or 'Wait' block. Configure the delay for 7 days (168 hours). This delay pauses the process until 7 days have passed since the first message before moving to the next step.

  9. Add the second message (day 14 — success story)

After the delay, add another 'Send Email' action. Draft the message with the success story. Include the client name in the subject and personalize content with CRM dynamic variables like {Lead.Name} or {Lead.Company}.

  10. Add a second 7-day delay

After the second message, add another 'Delay' block for 7 additional days. At the end of the delay the lead will have been 14 days since the first nurturing contact (7 + 7).

  11. Add the third message (day 21 — offer)

After the second delay, add the third 'Send Email' action with the offer message. This is the closing message of the sequence. You can also add an additional action to create a follow-up task for the assigned sales agent.

  12. Activate and save the Business Process

Review the complete flow in the visual designer. Click 'Save' to save the process and then activate it with the 'Active' toggle. The process will automatically execute for all leads that meet the 7-day inactivity condition.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between CRM Robots and Business Processes in Bitrix24 for nurturing?

CRM Robots (Automation > Robots) is simpler and allows creating simple automatic rules like sending an email or changing a lead status. Business Processes is more powerful and allows creating complex flows with delays, IF/ELSE conditions, and multiple branches. For nurturing sequences with several days between steps, Business Processes is the right tool.

Does Bitrix24 allow sending WhatsApp messages in a nurturing sequence?

Yes, but it requires additional setup. You need to connect a WhatsApp Business channel through Contact Center > Open Channels. Once connected, you can use 'Send Message' actions in Business Processes that send messages via WhatsApp instead of just email.

How many emails can I send per month with Bitrix24 automation?

It depends on the plan. On the free and Basic plans, marketing email volume is limited. On Standard and Professional plans the limit increases significantly. For high-volume nurturing sequences, check your plan limits in Settings > Marketing > Send Limits.
